How Affiliate Programs can help you make money

To help you make money from a website that you may already have, there is the choice of joining an affiliate program.

If haven't got your own website yet then a good idea would be to get in contact with a web designer who has experience with affiliate marketing.

If you become an affiliate, it means you earn from advertising other merchants products via your website, by putting text links or banners on your site.

If a visitor to your website clicks on the banner which will take them straight to the merchant's site and if they buy something then you'll make a commission on the sale.

Unfortunately you won't make much by simply putting a banner on your website unless you're one of the lucky ones who receive thousands of visitors on a daily basis.

But with a few simple techniques you could make even a small site earn you a useful income.

A first priority would be to link yourself to a merchant whose goods would be bought by the type of visitors you get to your site, there would be no point in advertising dog food when your website is about PC maintenance.

To start with have a look at the 'Commission Junction', one of the good affiliate network directories on the web it won't cost you a penny and nor will it if you link up with one of listed merchants.

From that point it's very straightforward, you don't need to be a programming expert to get going.

Advertising other peoples' products is a good way of earning an income via your site, you're just pointing someone in a particular direction and that's your job finished.

Make money from your blog

You probably have second thoughts about making money from blogging it's not uncommon for some to think it's unethical, evil or uncool, then it's best to leave the whole idea of commercialising your blog alone.

But if monetizing your blog doesn't offend your sensibilities then go for it or if you think it's somehow evil then of course, that's fine as well.

But you have to be absolutely clear in your mind that you want to do it before you even begin because trying to generate income from blogging is difficult enough, without having to deal with some form of self-sabotage holding you back.

You ought to feel great about generating income this way there really is not a lot wrong with wanting to succeed at something.

If in your opinion your blog has real value, then earning income from it should be no more than you deserve.

But don't be shy about selling this thing if you put ads on there, really put those ads in there, it has to be the same if you're putting in requests for donations, do not be shy.

Some people might complain, they always do when you commercialise a free site.

Is it possible for you to make a proper income online? Without a doubt. It will take longer if you have a day job but the opportunities exist.

How to Make Money Writing

You will notice that I often mention how better it is to earn money by doing something you enjoy.

The more you enjoy something, the more enthusiasm, and effort you will put in.

Writing is both a hobby and an occupation. How wonderful it would be to make money from something you are passionate about.

Ways to Make Money Writing

I am going to have a bit of a brainstorm with you.

Feel free to comment if you know any other ways of making money from writing.

Blogging - By writing quality content you can attract visitors and then monetize your blog.

Make Money writing greeting cards - Many greeting card companies pay for freelance submissions.

Be a content writer - Become a freelance content writer, get paid for your research and keyword enriched articles.

Writing reviews -Market research is a vital aspect for any company. Companies will pay you for your opinion.

Writing poetry - I will be honest with you, there is not allot of money in poetry but you can make some money. You could self publish a book, enter competitions or build a poetry website and monetize the website.

Writing EBooks - Tap into the thirst for online knowledge. No costs for printing or publishing.

I hope the above list has sparked some of your own ideas too.
